As its mission statement makes clear, “Leech Lake Tribal College provides quality higher education grounded in Anishinaabe values.” Specifically, it achieves this goal by fostering the discovery or creation of new knowledge and skills, and by ensuring the dissemination of that knowledge and those skills – primarily through teaching, but also through building relationship and community.

At Leech Lake Tribal College, We offer associate degrees and certificates in traditional fields such as, liberal arts, the sciences, business, law enforcement and technical skills in carpentry and electrical fields. Our focus on continual program development ensures that we are providing students with quality education that is both current and responsive to change in technology and industry. We also offer ample opportunities for training through continuing education and lifelong-learning programs for those seeking to broaden their skills and knowledge. It is the role of the departments and office that together comprise Academic Affairs to provide students and faculty members with the resources they need to translate those aspirations into achievements.

Working with talented faculty in a wide range of disciplines, Leech Lake Tribal College students and the members of our support staff contribute substantively to fulfilling our mission.
